CyberSkills Workshops are the most enjoyable way of discovering the benefits of new technologies – to learn, earn, communicate, entertain and shop.  Click on “Centres” to find one running CyberSkills Workshops near you.

CyberSkills staff can help you equip yourself with skills to enter employment, advance your education or career, improve the competitiveness of your company or simply enhance the quality of your life – with a gentle People first, Technology second approach.

The Workshops can provide practical hands-on experience of technologies like: the internet, email, world wide web, video and data conferencing, e-commerce.  You will have access to the latest equipment such as internet-connected computers, web cams and digital cameras.  These are some of the tools that give you direct access to millions of other people, shops, customers, libraries, information, services and businesses all over the world.

In 1993, South Bristol Learning Network, in partnership with Fujitsu Services, formerly  ICL and others, created the CyberSkills concept. Fujitsu Services has, since then, led the development of CyberSkills Centres in the UK and Worldwide.

Fujitsu Services understands that even though jobs and skills for life have all but disappeared, and survival depends on learning new skills, most people find that they do not know where to start, and they are nervous about learning, and anxious about using new technologies.

The "People First, Technology Second" approach which CyberSkills uses for its Awareness Workshops gives so many individuals the information and experience they need, regarding internet and other technologies, in a non-threatening, non-training environment. At CyberSkills Centres individuals and businesses have gained an understanding of the benefits, impacts and opportunities which emerging technologies may have on their lives, allowing them to profit in time from the "digital" economy we are entering. You may enjoy a CyberSkills Awareness Workshop at any of the Centres listed.

Once you have decided upon your route for Self Development, you may decide that "Learning Online" is a convenient way of keeping your skills up to date, so check-out the courses in the Catalogue, and enter the Training gateway to book yourself
on a course.
